With 20 Campers

There were 20 new sets of memories of summer fun with friends!

Camp ImpAACt is a specialized program for campers who use alternative communication methods to interact, at the Ellis Center every summer.

This is a one of a kind program, offered in the Southeast, for children who otherwise might not get a camp experience.

This year's theme of "S.T.E.A.M." had activities that involved science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

All campers are paired with a trained one-on-one camp counselor for the week.

Special thanks to our sponsors who helped make Camp ImpAACt a reality!

Your generosity allowed us to host more campers than ever before, provide financial assistance to families, create a paid camp director position and staff a camp nurse. Thank you for making such a profound ImpAACt this year!

"I volunteered with the Ellis School this summer as a one-on-one counselor and I was so impressed by their focus on developing the communication skills of every student, regardless of their ability. I saw tangible improvement in so many of the kids in just a week."
